International collaboration Ján Albrecht Music and Art Academy (JAMAA) got the state agreement on January 2011 and the first academic year 2011/2012 will be open in October 2011. The representatives (rector, vice-rectors, teachers and the staff) are rich experiences with educational, artistic and scientific activities .Our institution is the new private establishment in Slovak Music Higher Education Area and only one artistic private university. Staff members were active in cooperation with many schools in France, Italy, Austria, Germany, Czech Republic, Spain, Poland and Finland. There were also important activities and Projects with Universities in USA. As long term collaboration give us hope to continue and develop projects and programs with new ideas and particular music research in jazz area, early music area, performing art and composition. JAMAA collaborates with outstanding musical and cultural institution in Slovakia: Academy of Performing Arts in Bratislava (Cooperation Agreement), Slovak Sinfonietta Žilina (Cooperation Agreement), Konservatory and Music Schools in Slovakia, Slovak Union, Sovak Music Fund and other institutions. To the international strategy of our institution belong continuity and development of existed and new contacts. The other activity belongs to special kind of exchange to be able organize contemporary music and jazz music projects with participating institutions. The concerts play very specific role especially in performing art education and composition. Ján Albrecht Academy of Music and Art Banská Štiavnica has establish in 2011 the Artistic and Scientific Research Centre focused on research in various artistic areas and on presentations of artistic (concerts, performance projects, workshops, multimedia, scores etc.) and scientific results (seminars, conferences, publications, books, CD, DVD etc.). This Centre collaborates with many foreign institutions as Universität für Musik und darstellende Kunst, Vienna, Ferenc Liszt University of Music, Budapest, Hungarian Academy of Science, Budapest Music Centre, Hochschule für Musik in Freiburg, Institut für Musikwissenschaft, Otto-Friedrich Universität Banmberg, Leoš Janáček Academy of Music in Brno, Akademia muzyczna, Bydgoszcz, Łódź, Katowice a Krakow, CNSMD de Lyon in France, Polytechnic University, Jyväskylä and Oulu), University of Wisconsin, and others. International cooperation is one of the most important priorities at our Institution and we plan to realize many mutual activities in frame of Erasmus Programme. JAMAA collaborates also with outstanding scientific centres in abroad (Centre de musique baroque de Versailles, Arnold Schönberg Zentrum Wien, Institute of Music Theory of Music Academy in Prague, Research Centre of Music Academy in Bydgoszcz, Research Centre of Janacek Music Academy in Brno, Editorial Board of Information and communications technology in musical field magazine of Academy of Music Gheorghe Dima Cluj-Napoca) and with known scientists as prof. Gabriel Altmann (Germany), Reinhard Köhler (Germany), Ioan-Iovitzu Popescu (Romania), prof. Gérard Geay (France), Jean-Pierre Deleuze (France) and other. JAMAA in 2013 has realized in collaboration with the Slovak Sinfonietta (Štátny komorný orchester) Žilina by the financial support of Ministry of Culture an outstanding international project Cirillo-Metodiada, oratorio for speaker, choir and orchestra on the lyrics by Ján Hollý (the author of the oratorio is composer Egon Krák – rector of JAMAA). Egon KRÁK: PILGRIMS, Melodrama for 2 narrators, mixed choir and orchestra JAMAA currently prepare premiere of the composition PILGRIMS, written by rector and composer Egon Krák.
