We are very proud our Academy to give the name of outstanding music and aesthetics personality  Ján Albrecht  (1919 – 1996), who represented famous artistic Bratislava family. Alexander Albrecht, his father, was friend of composer Bela Bartók, several relatives as painter János Vaszary, or Eugen Lehner – Kolisch Quartet member and Thomas Messer – long period director of Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum, New York – were world famous personalities. Between family members and great masters of the art there were fruitful connections  – Alfred Marnau, Emil Nolde, Olda, spouse of Oscar Kokoschka a.o.

From this point of view Academy attains and recognizes excellence in all facets of operation and expects all members of the institution to serve and enrich the intellectual vitality of the whole area. Academy encourages creativity, collaboration and willingness to experiment, discovery and be receptive to new ideas. The whole staff strive to bring these qualities to our work, mission and our interactions with others –  prepare creative people to own professional life.
